The series contains documents which were given ICTY official document numbers for internal control purposes. The allocation of official document numbers was controlled by means of a register which contained the numbers and the titles of the documents. Most of the official documents were policy instruments related to the Tribunal's judicial work. Other policy instruments were not given official document numbers and therefore are not included in the series. Some copies of agendas, orders of business and summaries of decisions taken at plenary sessions and duty rosters for Trial and Appeal Chambers were also given official document numbers.
