The series contains the physical copies of the ICTY Judicial Record Book.

Rule 36 of the ICTY Rules of Procedure and Evidence required that the Registrar kept a Record Book that listed "all the particulars of each case brought before the Tribunal." In the early days of the Tribunal this was a physical book. In accordance with a decision of the Plenary, from 1 January 2005 the Judicial Database (JDB), which had been rolled out across the Tribunal in 2003, officially constituted the electronic Record Book for each case replacing the physical book.
