The series contains transcripts of court hearings in the Kayishema et al. case (ICTR-95-1).

A transcript was a verbatim, written record of a court hearing or other proceeding.

Transcripts were produced in the Tribunal's official languages i.e. English and French.

The date of a transcript was the date of the hearing.

For the Kayishema et al. case there are transcripts for:

• the pre-trial proceedings, 28 November 1995 – 10 April 1997, including the review of the indictment, 28 November 1995, the initial appearances of Clément Kayishema, 31 May 1996, and Obed Ruzindana, 29 October 1996 and the decision on the preliminary motions presented by the Prosecutor and the defence in the matter of Clément Kayishema, 6 November 1996
• the trial proceedings, 11 April 1997 – 21 May 1999, including the trial hearings, 11 April 1997 – 17 May 1999 and delivery of the trial judgement, 21 May 1999
• the appeal proceedings, 26 May 1999 – 1 June 2001, including the appeal hearings, 30 – 31 October 2000 and the delivery of the appeal judgement, 1 June 2001
