The series contains exhibits that were admitted during the Galić case (IT-98-29).
An exhibit was a record which was formally admitted into evidence by a Chamber.
Each exhibit was given an exhibit number which comprised: a prefix identifying the source of the exhibit; a number; and, sometimes, an additional letter to identify parts of the exhibit (e.g. translations). The most common prefixes were 'P' for Prosecution exhibits and 'D' for Defence exhibits. Exhibits which were introduced in court, rather than tendered before the court was in session, were given a 'C' prefix.
The date of an exhibit was the date on which it was admitted by the Chamber. This was generally not the date on which the record itself was created.
In the Galić case, exhibits were admitted during the trial proceedings. Examples include: maps; photographs; sketches; video recordings and clips; combat and operative reports; and expert reports.
