The sub-sub-fonds contains records relating to designating the State in which a convicted person was to serve a sentence of imprisonment. They consist of correspondence between the President and others on designating the State and judicial orders, which conveyed the decision from the President designating an enforcement State.

Copies of other relevant records, such as preliminary enquiries to an enforcing State, the confidential memorandum from the Registrar to the President, formal notification of a State's acceptance and correspondence with the convicted person, were placed on the Enforcement of Sentence file for the convicted person, where relevant.
